My Journey: From Chronic Health Struggles to Vibrant Longevity

The Take Health Into Your Own Hands program was born from a deeply personal journey—one shaped by years of quiet suffering, spiritual searching, and ultimately, the discovery of a more aligned way to live and thrive.

I didn’t begin as a healer. I started as a young changemaker, driven to make a difference in the world. But despite my outward achievements, inwardly I was unraveling—dealing with chronic pain, anxiety, disordered eating, burnout, and trauma that had woven itself into the fabric of my body and mind.

Doctors told me I was in “perfect health,” but I knew something wasn’t right. I felt constantly fatigued, emotionally depleted, and physically out of sync. I tried everything—from yoga and mindfulness to clean eating and therapy. Each brought pieces of relief, but none addressed the root.

Then I found Ayurveda—the world’s oldest system of holistic healing, and the sister science of Yoga.

Ayurveda changed my life.

It offered a completely different paradigm: one where health isn’t just the absence of illness, but the presence of vibrant harmony—between body, mind, emotions, spirit, and the natural world.

I began to understand myself in an entirely new way. Simple yet profound daily practices—rooted in how I ate, moved, slept, breathed, and engaged with my senses—started to transform everything. My digestion stabilized. My anxiety softened. The pain that once felt constant began to dissolve. I no longer felt like I had to fix myself. I began to feel whole again.

Instead of chasing perfection, I started cultivating rhythm. Instead of numbing discomfort, I nourished vitality.

Ayurveda didn’t just help me heal—it gave me tools I could use every day, and share with the people I care most about. My energy returned. My clarity deepened. And for the first time in a long time, I felt truly alive.

This path inspired my book The Way of the Goddess, a guide to deep emotional and spiritual transformation. It’s since won multiple awards and helped thousands of people realize they are not alone on the healing path.

Today, I live with more strength, purpose, and peace than I once thought possible. I train in martial arts, run 5Ks, and—most importantly—live in a way that deeply honors my body’s needs without extremes or burnout.

My professional journey began with a personal mission: to heal from chronic pain, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, and burnout in a way that would last. What started as a deeply personal quest soon became a calling to serve others on their path to radiant health and wholeness.

I didn’t come into the wellness space through a trend—I came through transformation.

After years of struggling with invisible health challenges, despite being told I was in “perfect health,” I discovered Ayurveda—the world’s oldest holistic healing system. Ayurveda offered me what nothing else had: a complete, time-tested roadmap to restore balance in my body, mind, and spirit. It helped me reclaim my vitality from the inside out.

As my health improved, my purpose deepened. I trained extensively in Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedanta under the guidance of masters from ancient traditions. These teachings became the foundation of my life—and my professional work.

Today, I serve as the Advisor of Ayurveda at THE WELL and co-founder of The Ancient Way, where I guide individuals and wellness communities through personalized programs rooted in ancient wisdom and modern practicality. I'm the author of two award-winning books:
